Proper Stretching Makes a Measurable Difference
Arm StretchStretching with a trained professional can help you to avoid problems and can deepen the intensity and effectiveness of your stretch routine. A trainer can also react quickly to any discomfort and decrease the risk of injury from stretching.


Services and Rates
Please spend about 10 minutes walking or jogging just prior to your appointment.

Flexibility Assessment - measure your overall flexibility with a thorough assessment - $45

30 Minute Facilitated Stretching - stretching to target specific areas - $30

60 Minute Facilitated Stretching - full body routine or intense targeted stretching - $60



Proper stretching does more than just increase flexibility. Benefits of stretching also include:

  • increased mental and physical relaxation
  • increased body awareness
  • reduced risk of injury to joints, muscles, and tendons
  • reduced muscular soreness
  • reduced muscular tension
  • increased lubrication of joints and connective tissues
  • enhanced ability to learn and perform skilled movements


Do It Right
Most people do not stretch properly and often injure soft tissue instead of making it more supple. The most common mistakes made when stretching are:

  • insufficient warm-up
  • stretching the wrong tissues
  • overstretching
  • understretching


Arm Stretch Techniques Used
  • Passive (or "relaxed") Static Stretching
  • Passive (or "relaxed") Dynamic Stretching
  • PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation)
  • AIS (Active-Isolated Stretching)

Available to all clients of New Light Therapy Center will be a passive flexibility station. The station consists of a series of bars at varying angles and heights to help you get a full-body flexibility workout. Drop in any time the center is open or stretch before and after your massage appointment.
